Inter-State Transmission Projects worth ₹ 15,893 Cr Approved by Power Minister

Union Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy, R K Singh has approved 23 new inter-state transmission system (ISTS) projects worth ₹ 15,893 Cr.

Out of the 23 new inter-state transmission system projects, 13 projects will be developed under tariff-based competitive bidding at an estimated cost of ₹ 14,766 Cr. Remaining 10 projects with an estimated cost of ₹ 1,127 Cr will be developed under regulated tariff mechanism.

The new inter-state transmission system (ISTS) network expansion shall help in seamless transfer of power from power-surplus regions to power-deficit regions.
